Tracking long range precipitation for Southern Ontario using weather models, satellite, and meteorological data.
Storm Snow Predictions
The storm that was forecasted to give blizzard conditions has weakened slightly for areas east of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. This is precisely why I have issued a new snowfall map. This storm will wind down sometime tomorrow morning.
A new weather pattern is setting up. This new weather pattern will bring snow back to Southern Ontario and the surrounding regions. My general estimation would be that we will experience a pattern that could pull in a Colorado Low for Southern Ontario. I find it highly irregular for Accuweather to take a stance on the idea of winter storms starting to wane for the season. I nor the weather models have seemed to adopt this preposterous idea. The next chance for a storm in Southern Ontario will be somewhere from March 5 - March 7, 2010.
