Tracking long range precipitation for Southern Ontario using weather models, satellite, and meteorological data.
Christmas Storm Staying West of Southern Ontario
The Christmas storm has not changed track overnight like I had originally presumed. This has signaled to me that if any change in track were to take place, that it would be minimal. From what I can see, this storm will hit Southern Ontario on Christmas Day, and will start with some snow followed by rain and freezing rain. I am a little worried that some areas in Southern Ontario could receive an extended amount of freezing rain. This could trigger power outages and multiple accidents among many other problems. I will keep a close eye on this storm and will update you on what is going on as I receive more information.
