Weekend Storm to be Questioned

This weekend we are expecting a winter storm to strike at a currently unknown location. The storm will begin forming in the Gulf of Mexico on late Thursday/Friday morning. It will suck in a lot of moisture from the Gulf and drop at least 3 inches of rain on parts of Florida. It will then continue northward until it reaches the coast. As soon as it reaches the coast, a high pressure system will start to steer it into the sea. However, as this high pressure system steers it out into a sea, a secondary band of precipitation will form along the western side of this storm. Snow amounts of 6-10 inches of snow could fall in this band. The exact question will be, when will this band develop? How soon will the high pressure system drive the storm off the coast? All these factors will determine how much snow can actually fall in Southern Ontario. Stay tune for further updates.
