Lake Effect Snow Threatens Once Again
Snow squalls will setup once again for areas adjacent to Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. The areas I have colored in white will exceed 15 centimeters of snow accumulations. All other areas colored in brown will receive some light snow that will not accumulate to more than 5 centimeters. This lake effect snow event is a result of a low pressure system that headed up the Eastern Seaboard over New Years Day. Cold and strong winds will sweep through the North East in wake of this storm. In return, zero visibility and biting wind chills will occur in some of these snow squalls, creating hazardous conditions.
